We’re looking for a Field Sales Trainer . The work location for this position is the US or Canada and is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement but will require monthly travel. **
The Opportunity**
In this role, you will directly contribute to the corporate strategy to increase efficiency and productivity of our sales team in two distinct ways:
- Facilitate new hire training solutions
- Partnering with Sales Leadership Team and other Business Units as required to evolve the effectiveness of the onboarding, development and continuous enablement of our sales and sales support teams
In This Role You’ll
- Deliver New Hire Sales Training Programs
- Responsible for developing & delivering sales training programs and initiatives; assumes full control and accountability for assigned training initiatives; focuses on sales team skills and productivity.
- Assess participant skill and knowledge levels and provide feedback to leadership.
- Provide guidance regarding coaching and performance management opportunities (inclusive of probationary period assessment).
- Deliver Ongoing Training & Development Solutions to Sales Organization
- Participates in training functions, special events, and corporate conferences in the capacity of planning, coordinating and facilitating.
- Coaches and trains sales representatives and sales leaders in a one-to-one or group setting on how to evaluate and deal with unique training scenarios or skill development requirements.
- Works directly with business stakeholders in the development of training solutions to drive sales team skills and productivity.
- Training Program & Content Evaluation & Development
- Collaborate with content development and design team.
- Design, assess and update training programs.
- Ensure training programs reflect current business practices and policies.
- Enhance or create training materials and tools as required.
- Training & Development Needs Assessment
- Consults with stakeholders to understand strategic and tactical business objectives and identifies development needs and priorities.
- Conducts needs analysis and recommends appropriate development solutions with supporting cost benefit analysis.
- Training Program Administration
- Coordinate with internal partners to ensure training program logistics support the business.
- Maintains communication links at all levels regarding training endeavors.
- Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
Here’s What You Bring
- 3-5 years experience in a consultative sales position with proven knowledge of the sales process and sales technique and skills
- Adult learning certificate or accreditation preferred
- 1-2 years experience professional facilitation
- 1-2 years experience in a sales role or organization
- Additional Qualifications:
- Experience developing and delivering sales training to sales team members of all levels of experience and proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate skills and assess future needs and training requirements of internal customers
- Ability to facilitate live and virtual training sessions and workshops
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong active listening skills and the ability to deliver constructive feedback
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with learning related software (screen capture, recording, elearning authoring tools, etc.) an asset
- A strong work ethic with the ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines
- Available for domestic or international travel when required
This Job Will Require You To
- Have the ability to read learning participants and adapt to meet needs
- Have the ability to partner with field leadership when presented with potential performance gaps within programs
- Have the ability to recommend development and coaching strategies
