Lead II - DevOps Engineering

You Are

UST is searching for a Ctrl M DevOps Engineer who will act under the guidance of DevOps, leading more than 1 Agile team and interpret the DevOps Tool/feature/component design to develop/support the same in accordance with specifications.

The Opportunity

  • Adapts existing DevOps solutions and creates relevant DevOps solutions for new contexts
  • Codes debug, tests, and documents and communicate DevOps development stages/status of DevOps development/support issues
  • Selects appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguration of existing components
  • Optimizes efficiency, cost, and quality of DevOps process, tools, and technology development
  • Validates results with user representatives; integrates and commissions the overall solution
  • Helps Engineers troubleshoot issues that are novel/complex and are not covered by SOPs
  • Design, install, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and software
  • Able to automate infrastructure provisioning on cloud/in-premises with the guidance of architects
  • Provides guidance to DevOps Engineers so that they can support existing components

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in development and system design which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.
  • Must have experience in working on Microsoft-based infrastructure
  • Must have experience in .Net, SQL Server, Oracle, Jenkins/Bamboo, CTRL M
  • Should have the ability to schedule and monitor CTRL M jobs
  • Must have experience to configure and managing databases such as SQL Server, Oracle
  • Should be able to define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Should be able to monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Should be able to do Code versioning, source control using Azure Repos, GIT
  • Should know how to configure build pipelines using TFS, Bit Bucket
  • Should have knowledge of building automation scripts
  • Should have knowledge of Veracode integration with build pipelines
  • Should have knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows environments is mandatory.
  • Flexible to work in 24x7 shifts which also includes Night and Weekend-shifts
  • Should be able to create a pipeline for build test, test, and release using the YAML pipeline.
  • Should be able to encourage and build automated processes wherever possible
  • Should be able to select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
  • Must have a vision for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
  • Should be able to adopt an adaptive approach and ensure the implementation of better, improved technologies on the floor.
  • Should be able to keep abreast of industry trends and best practices and utilize them to improve operational efficiency.
  • Should be able to reduce the time to market for products and continuously monitor performance to plug gaps and introduce viable alternatives.
  • Should be able to promote a culture of DevOps methodologies in the organization and ensures that the team members are well-trained in them.
  • Should try to automate the testing phase and is expected to code, unit test, deploy, and monitor the applications.
  • Should be able to implement strategies and analyses designs for deployment in a continuous automated manner
  • Nice to have: Knowledge & experience working with different automation tooling within IT Operations

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST HealthProof provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington as set forth below.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for Role

Remote: $91,000-$137,000
