The Data team develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. What You'll Do**

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis, developing advanced statistical and machine learning models, and providing strategic guidance based on data-driven insights. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading scientific research to develop cutting-edge data science solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms. **

Responsibilities**

Develop advanced statistical and machine learning models, and lead scientific research for cutting-edge data science solutions.

Utilize vibration data to detect and predict failures in machinery and equipment.

Develop and implement predictive models for failure probabilities and remaining useful life.

Perform data analysis, preprocessing, and feature extraction on vibration data.

Design and validate machine learning models for failure classification and prediction.

Create informative reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to junior data scientists.

Ensure data governance compliance and stay updated on advancements in failure detection techniques. **

Requirements**

5+ years in Data Science related fields

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on failure detection and vibration analysis.

Strong expertise in signal processing techniques and vibration analysis methodologies.

Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.

Experience with feature extraction and preprocessing of vibration data.

Familiarity with relevant tools and libraries for data analysis and machine learning. **

Bonus Points**

Fluent English proficiency

Experience working with Internet of Things (IoT) data and sensors, particularly in the context of machinery and equipment monitoring, would be a significant advantage.

Previous experience in industries such as manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or predictive maintenance, where failure detection is critical, is a plus.

Having patents related to data science, failure detection, or vibration analysis, or a record of publications in relevant scientific journals, showcases thought leadership in the field. **
