Key responsabilities:

  • Develop and manage Camera Supply Chain Category Strategy to enhance ADAS products, build relationships with suppliers, drive sourcing strategies to reduce costs.
  • Grow expertise in camera and sensing supply chain, conduct RFI/RFQs, oversee category implementation, lead program sourcing activities.
  • Analyze supply base cost structure, become a subject matter expert in automotive camera applications, identify industry trends to influence Ford's approach.
  • Promote continuous improvement, facilitate executive level relationships to grasp key industry trends, support buyers in strategy development and negotiations.

In this position...**

  • Develop and manage the Camera Supply Chain Category Strategy to support Ford in delivering leading ADAS products and features, supporting Model e, Ford Blue, and Ford Pro.
  • Strengthen existing supplier partnerships, and develop new supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps.
  • Develop, manage, and execute sourcing strategies with industry-leading partners multiple tiers deep into the supply chain to reduce risk and minimize cost.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Grow the team knowledge and expertise in the camera and sensing supply chain and drive the development of advanced and robust cost modeling.
  • Build executive level relationships across the industry to understand and influence key trends.
  • Conduct RFI/RFQs with supply base for key camera hardware applications for current and future ADAS platforms.
  • Deep-dive the supply base cost structure to drive the optimal cost in the supply chain.
  • Become an expert in automotive camera applications, including industry trends, competitor offerings, emerging technology, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation strategies, and commercial dynamics.
  • Use subject matter expertise to support buyers and assist in negotiation and strategy development.
  • Develop purchasing strategies for automotive camera applications categories to ensure security of supply at best cost.
  • Own category implementation responsibilities of Front Windshield Camera applications.
  • Lead program sourcing activity for Front Windshield Camera applications and ensure suppliers are sourced on and within program price targets.
  • Responsible for delivering End to End cost reduction goals and targets for camera category.
  • Champion continuous improvement activities and challenge legacy ways of doing business.

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical or Industrial) or Business/Supply Chain.
  • 2+ years of experience with the Electronics industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Engineering or Sales.
  • Self-starter with an eagerness to learn.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; those needed to interact with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical or Industrial) or Business/Supply Chain.
  • Prior experience with Electronics / Camera / Sensing technologies in the Automotive or Consumer Electronics industries.
  • A knack for negotiations skills, with a demonstrated ability to reaching closure on complex and ambiguous issues.
  • Highly effective communicator that can seamlessly transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive messaging.
  • Proactive and resourceful; comfortable navigating across an organization to obtain alignment and get things done.
  • Ability to translate high-level strategy to tactical execution.
