Position Overview: The VP of Product is responsible for developing product strategy and driving innovation to bring new products and services to centers in order to support Vibrant’s mission. This person has a proven track record of building and managing effective product teams, and bringing impactful products to market in a heavily regulated environment. Vibrant is currently building a product organization and practice. Practitioners who are experienced in building product capabilities within an organization are strongly desired. **
Job Duties And Responsibilities**
- Leadership: Serve as the senior leader of product for the organization, responsible for defining and articulating the vision and strategy of the organization’s product portfolio and Product Office. Partner with other senior leaders to align product roadmaps to strategic vision. Effectively articulate the value and champion the adoption of Vibrant’s products with key stakeholders.
- Product: Co-develop the vision, strategy, and plans for the product portfolio across programs. Build the infrastructure needed to support a robust and effective Product team and function.
- Team Leadership: Build, integrate, and lead the Product team, providing overall leadership and guidance to the function including: product management, product design and product marketing. Cultivate a collaborative culture within the team and across the organization that focuses on supporting the help-seeker as well as the communities with which Vibrant collaborates.
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with the organization’s mission and goals
- Develop and maintain product level OKRs that are understandable both by internal and external stakeholders
- Interface and build key relationships within Vibrant to build and deliver prioritized product roadmaps and continually improve products
- Manage relationships with partners outside of Vibrant so that product work is less demand-driven and more outcome focused - specifically governmental (federal and state) and the network of crisis centers
- Build and manage a high-performing product team, driving transformation on ways of working best practices
Key Skills
- Proven experience in product management and leadership roles, preferably within a nonprofit mental health, and/or health setting
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, believes in a non-hierarchical culture of transparency, safety, and trust
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
- Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to drive toward outcomes
- Passion to challenge the status quo and find innovative solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change
- Organizational change management strategies/tactic and championing product transformations

- Team Leadership: Adaptable team leader with proven ability to manage and develop a thriving team at appropriate scale. Astute driver of strategy, including managing teams through strategic pivots and inspiring teams around mission and purpose. Able to engage and collaborate with all levels of staff, and key stakeholders.
- Product Depth: Expertise in leading product management function in relevant business environment. An ability to bring experiences to market and drive product adoption with non-technical audiences.
- Domain Expertise: Experience working in a business environment that has sufficient overlap with Vibrant's core focus and operating framework.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful products to market
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for co-creating and championing product work.
