ABOUT THE ROLE
As a part of the InfoSync team, you will be working closely with staff across all departments to deliver excellent customer service to clients across diverse brands. The Benefits Specialist III is responsible for the administration of benefits in the HR System, for ensuring the accuracy of the associated payroll deductions for all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, & short-and long-term disability, and for coordinating with employees, clients, and third-party vendors to support these functions.
Essential Functions

1. Coordinate the daily processing of benefits deductions through the payroll cycle.
2. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
3. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting.
4. Submit employee contributions withheld through payroll deduction for 401(k), HSA, and FSA plans to the vendor
5. Respond to benefit and other general inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes.
6. Provide necessary reports to client and third parties to support them with the administration of their employee benefit plans.
7. Coordinate and troubleshoot issues that arise through the transfer of manual extracts to third-party vendors.
8. Assist HRIS Project Manager with open enrollment projects using the HR System.
9. Perform audits of benefit elections in the HR System post open enrollment
10. Review and interpret benefit plan documents
11. Perform quality checks of benefits-related data in the HR system to ensure the transfer of accurate information to third-party vendors.
12. Determine employee eligibility for entry into benefit plans per ACA and plan rules, and make appropriate employee notifications.
13. Evaluate and work with the client to revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
14. Process and maintain documentation for proof of life event changes with employees, vendors, and clients
15. Distribute enrollment materials to employees, and complete employee plan enrollments, life event changes, and terminations within the payroll and vendor systems as needed.
16. Manage the annual 401(k) catch-up contribution enrollment.
17. Reconcile monthly vendor invoices and submit request for payment.
18. Manage employee arrears reporting and payments
19. Manage COBRA benefit enrollments and coordinate premium collection
20. Process and administer all leave-of-absence and FMLA requests and coordinate premium collection.
21. Completing annual ACA 1095 template review
22. Special projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma and/or Associates Degree and three to five years of related employee benefits administration experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Associates Degree and three to five years of related employee benefits administration experience, and CEBS, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP professional designations
