You will work on technical projects to support the development of CFM’s Risk management activity in Europe and globally. The risk management team is an independent function within the firm to measure, monitor and control the various risks – market, liquidity, counterparty and operational risk.
The team is responsible for a risk management system which is independent of the Research team and monitors the risks on a near real-time level using various metrics like VaR, Tail Risk.
You will contribute to the python work at the CFM’s risk department working with colleagues across the Risk and Research team. The role requires a sound understanding of python programming and statistical concepts. You must have the ability to manipulate data, perform advanced analytics, and build production quality tools. We expect you to demonstrate a significant autonomy and an organized approach to carry out the projects entrusted to you.
The position is based in London/Paris and for 6 months.
You have a master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Econometrics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computational Science, Quantitative Finance, Physics) or working towards a PhD degree.
You are proficient in Python, data analysis/visualization library.
You are well organized, detail oriented and keep track of various deadlines.
You are fluent in written and spoken in English.
French fluency is a plus not a necessity.
