Job description

We accept applications on a rolling basis for full-time, year-long, post-graduate fellows to work with our San Francisco-, Washington, D.C.-, and Asia-based teams. When submitting your application, please indicate your proposed timeframe and the outside funding source you hope to obtain for this fellowship. If you are selected for a post-graduate fellowship, you may be asked to produce a fellowship proposal.

Applicants are requested to have relevant work experience and/or academic background in at least some of the areas in which we work: International Law, Development, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Justice, and Human Rights. Applicants are required to have excellent communication, research, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Applicants who are invited to submit a proposal should outline their proposed areas of work and how that contribution will meet Accountability Counsel’s organizational needs and serve in furthering our mission. We encourage you to review our website for more information about each of our program areas (Communities, Policy Advocacy, Research) before applying.

Post-Graduate Research Fellows will report to our Research Director. Fellows are expected to oversee and manage a discrete research or data project relating the state of international accountability, working with all parts of our organization to synthesize data and produce salient conclusions. Projects can involve a variety of methodologies, and we welcome applicants from a diverse array of backgrounds including social sciences, computer science, data analytics, or other related fields. Familiarity with data modeling and programming languages such as Python or R are helpful but not required.
