Job description

For our Team, located in Gdansk, Poland, we’re looking for Junior Master Data Specialist, who will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Finance Master Data which are fundamental to business processes. The role includes developing and managing processes in Microsoft AX2009 / D365 & SAP among other systems.  

Key responsibilities: 

1. Data Management:

  • Maintain and update financial master data in the system.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all financial systems.

  • Develop and implement data management controls.

2. Data Governance:

  • Define and enforce data standards and policies.

  • Oversee data governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Support and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with finance and Digital teams to resolve data-related issues.

  • Provide support for financial reporting and analysis by ensuring data integrity.  

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data management efficiency.

  • Develop automated solutions for data entry and validation.

Key tasks:

1. Data Entry and Validation:

  • Enter and validate financial master data, such as vendor, chart of accounts, Profit Coste Centre, etc. 

  • Perform regular data audits to identify and correct discrepancies.

2. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate reports on data quality and integrity.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate master data.

3. Training and Documentation:

  • Create and maintain documentation for data management processes.

  • Train new team members on data management best practices.

4. System Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain financial systems to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.

  • Collaborate with Digital to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor degree or above 

  • Good at written and spoken English 

  • Ability to work flexible hours 7-18 

  • Good at MS Office software 

  • Fast learning , detailed oriented and highly accountable 

  • Good communication skills and a good team player 

  • Initiative to change and optimize process continuously 

  • Stick to principles and have insight to find potential problems or risks 

Nice to have:

  • Proficient in Chinese would be a strong plus

  • 1 year accounting/corporate related experience

  • Accounting degree
