 The PCI Compliance Analyst I supports the Merchant Compliance Program through collaborations with internal teams to effectively manage their merchant and service provider portfolios via data security and compliance measures to ensure the safety of client data. 

The Analyst I provides technical security support and relevant PCI DSS compliance guidance to the organizational sales, client support teams, and the direct merchant provider segments to achieve new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships. 

By interfacing with external merchants and service providers, the Analyst I applies PCI standards process alignment by addressing compliance implementation questions, providing guidance on how to address security vulnerabilities as well as providing recovery support steps during data breaches. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as point of contact for merchant compliance inquires and escalating to management when appropriate

  • Process day-to-day compliance inquiries received compliance inquiry inbox, reporting back to the requestor in a timely manner

  • Assist merchants in vulnerability remediation by reviewing reports and providing solution consultations 

  • Maintain a PCI DSS compliance knowledge foundation based on hands-on experience 

  • Provide external merchant and internal stakeholder consultations in accordance with card brand compliance 

  • Make recommendations to improve the organizational value of the merchant protection program through feedback solicitation of internal and external parties

  • Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise, to gain trust and establish partnerships focused on improving merchant compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

  • One to two years detailed card industry experience dealing with the card brands, networks, vendors and operational areas a plus

  • Working knowledge of card brand/ payment processing industry

  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills

  • Ability to support a cohesive team environment

  • Willingness to actively collaborate with peers / leaders in support of business initiatives

  • High Initiative, self-starter, and self-motivated

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment where priorities change quickly and often 

  • Ability to evaluate information and provide risk based assessments 

  • Experience in Payments Compliance with a Customer Satisfaction emphasis preferred

  • Internal GPN / HPS / TSYS Systems knowledge a plus
