Purpose of Role 

The Marketing Automation Developer (HubSpot Developer) is responsible for system operations within Global Marketing Operations in support of marketing and sales record management as well as global and regional campaign executions. They will develop and manage software that automates repetitive tasks, freeing up time for the marketing team to focus on strategy and creative work. 

Marketing automation experience – specifically with HubSpot - is vital in this critical role which ensures record management (campaigns & contacts) are all processed efficiently between the integrated applications and system environments.  

Responsibilities include; monitor, analyse, and tune processes in HubSpot, AEM and salesforce.com systems to improve campaign effectiveness, system processes lead flows, account and contact record synchs, and overall system efficiencies. This role will also partner with Sales operations teams, support, Web\IT and various contractual third party vendors to maintain integrity of the overall implementation, data quality, process efficiencies and user support. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as marketing automation/workflow design expert for the team. Work with Global marketing & Regional stakeholders to provide recommendations and design for regional implementation variations 

  • Regularly analyse and report on effectiveness of overall automation programmes: identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending changes in the workflow design, or suggesting best practices that can be leveraged across the team 

  • Provide marketing programme level reporting, working closely with the data analyst 

  • Design and properly QA email nurture workflows built in HubSpot 

  • Develop streamlined processes for managing updates and changes to the nurture/automation production process 

  • Quickly understand business issues and operation challenges, and address them 

  • Work cross-functionally with other teams for resolving issues 

  • Willingness to perform data administrative and clerical duties  

  • You will be asked to build email templates in content builder 

  • You will be building and testing user journeys, creating in-depth test plans to make sure all possible scenarios are tested properly before deployment

  • You will be the liaison in troubleshooting a myriad of data or technical challenges 

  • Actively coordinate and manage the activity of uploading different contacts/leads into HubSpot for marketing campaigns 

  • Define and establish data quality processes, procedures, tools, and documentation for list data 

  • Assist building the organisational Marketing Ops processes, policies, SLA and assure compliance across the team 

This is a mid-level, non-managerial role. Full-time candidates only. This role is fully remote except for a few team get-togethers throughout the year.

Professional Qualifications / Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing automation development, preferably with HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Eloqua. 

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience in email and landing page development. 

  • Experience with API development and integrating third-party platforms with marketing automation tools. 

  • Knowledge of SQL and database management for lead segmentation and reporting. 

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, and their integration with marketing automation systems. 

  • Experience implementing and maintaining lead scoring models. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and improve marketing automation performance. 

  • Proactive, self-starter with drive to build first class operations and infrastructure. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
