Business Development Sales Support

The Role:

The Sales Operations Specialist plays a key role in driving business growth through reporting and analytics, sales support, customer service, event coordination, and marketing initiatives. This role will support sales operations for our Five Star business and partner closely with the National Business Development Manager, Customer Service team, and Marketing Manager. 

We’re looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial-minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is equally comfortable closing deals, analyzing performance data, and supporting strategic marketing efforts. What You Will Do:

  • Account Growth & Retention
    1. Prospect and generate new business through cold outreach, referrals, industry networking, and events
    2. Build, manage, and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
    3. Identify and upsell opportunities within the existing customer base
    4. Manage and grow accounts through proactive outreach, service, and follow-up
    5. Track sales metrics and KPIs in the CRM; maintain accurate and up-to-date records
    6. Deliver exceptional customer service to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business
    7. Anticipate customer needs and provide value-added solutions
    8. Develop account plans and conduct regular performance check-ins with key clients
  • Sales Operations Support
    1. Mine and analyze customer, market, and sales data to uncover trends and growth opportunities
    2. Identify gaps in the market and assist in shaping targeting strategies
    3. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting processes
  • Content & Campaign Execution
    1. Assist in the creation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns (newsletters, product promos, announcements)
    2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content for social media platforms (Website and Instagram)
    3. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with market demand
    4. Help coordinate the development of sales collateral (flyers, presentations, case studies, product sheets)
    5. Provide input on marketing materials based on customer feedback and sales trends
  • Customer Service:
    1. Providing the highest level of customer service through quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
    2. Gather and document customer feedback and/or issues, relaying insights, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
    3. Maintain the CRM system by updating customer information, tracking interactions on CRM and ensuring data accuracy for effective customer relationship management.
    4. Onboard new customers.
    5. Proactively reach out to all customers on a regular basis.
    6. Work closely with the customer service team to ensure orders are being shipped out in a timely manner and no issues are occurring.
    7. Partner with sales and operations leadership to continually develop improved processes.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • 4+ years' experience in sales support, analytics, or customer service is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, and Syspro (or a comparable ERP) functions and modules.
  • Proficient in Excel specifically in V Lookup, Pivot Tables, Word, Power Point.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments.
  • Able to work independently and in a remote team environment.

 

Compensation Range: 

$68,000 - $75,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specifics for each salary range.
