Summary of Job Duties:
The Administrative Coordinator reports to the Director of Clinical Facilities and Biomedical Engineering. Administrative Coordinators (AC) will adhere to all UAMS policies, procedures, and employee expectations as outlined by Human Resources, including but not limited to the performance of the defined job description, professional code of conduct, and attendance requirements.
The administrative coordinator is an independent, self-directed team member who provides administrative support to the departmental leadership team. This role provides expertise in software applications such as Microsoft office. The AC possesses strong written and oral communication skills enabling them to successfully provide administrative support and implement processes. Superior technological/computer skills and capabilities with a variety of software programs further ensures effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years administrative support experience; or Associate's Degree plus 4 years of administrative support experience; or High School Diploma plus 6 years administrative support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to delegate and follow-up.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and interdependently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment with people from various cultures, backgrounds, socioeconomic status, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality requirements and laws.
