Were Looking for a Data Platform Engineer

Join a collaborative engineering team focused on scaling and securing high-volume healthcare data platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SQL Server and DBA practices, who also has experience with orchestration tools and modern data architecture. Youll play a key role in improving database performance, monitoring production environments, and ensuring smooth data workflows.

What Youll Be Doing

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries in SQL Server

• Manage database jobs, backups, indexes, and performance tuning

• Investigate and resolve database performance issues across environments

• Create and maintain documentation: runbooks, data flow diagrams, and troubleshooting guides

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, support, account, engineering) to identify platform needs

• Contribute to incident management workflows, including root cause analysis and postmortem documentation

• Work with orchestration tools like Argo Workflows or Airflow for pipeline execution

• Support a data lake environment and collaborate on its evolution

• Help scale data processes across multiple microservices and teams

What You Bring

• Deep experience with SQL Server and SSMS

• Solid DBA background: backups, monitoring, and optimization

• Experience with orchestration tools (Argo, Airflow, Jenkins)

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and DBT

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Proactive in identifying performance issues and contributing to operational excellence

• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python scripting

• Exposure to Kubernetes environments
