Job Description:

At Regions, the Product Manager assists in the development, execution, and tracking of marketing or business segments programs for a product or product line by collecting, analyzing, and reporting marketing and sales performance data.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates promotional, marketing, and communication programs for all specified products and services as well as produce standard management reporting
  • Researches and compiles business and industry competitive data to analyze and develop tactics to achieve strategic goals
  • Analyzes sales information, projections, and other meaningful data and present findings to business unit management
  • Prepares and/or provides support in the preparation and delivery of training and sales tools
  • Acts as a subject matter expert, point of contact, and lead of special projects pertaining to specified products and services
  • Understands industry research around customer behaviors, new product offerings, new providers, and regulatory impacts while keeping business unit and product development heads informed
  • Assists in vendor relationship management including responding and sending requests, managing risks, and ensuring compliance adherence
  • Ensures risk management throughout the life cycle of each product, ensuring proper risk controls and monitoring, and compliance with regulatory risk and operational risk
  • Develops products and enhances services to remain competitive in the marketplace while ensuring adherence to all of Regions’ compliance and regulatory standard
  • Participates in new product development and may provide geography support as necessary
  • Collaborates with sales teams to identify and implement sales tactics as well as partner with cross-functional teams to execute strategies
  • May recommend marketing strategies including advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans, and future product development
  • Completes complex projects

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Seven (7) years of experience in product development/management, market research, or directly related experience

  • Experience within the financial industry or with a banking institution

Additional Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Debit Card Program Manager to oversee initiatives and performance within the debit card product team ensuring they align with timelines and broader business goals.  This role will assist the Debit Card Product team, and the Debit Card Operations team on defining and communicating the broader strategy across the enterprise and ensuring the teams deliver on expectations.   The Debit Card Program Manager will serve as the central point of contact for organizing and managing ongoing initiatives within the debit card space, with a focus on supporting operational and technical execution. This role is ideal for someone with a background in payment operations who thrives on keeping projects and teams aligned and on track.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and be able to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple initiatives.  The candidate should be comfortable with ambiguous situations and be able to define and drive clarity, decisions and next steps.  This candidate will work closely with business, operations, and technology partners across the organization to bring together a thorough view of initiative timelines, tasks and related performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track initiatives within the Debit Card program, ensuring visibility, current status and alignment across stakeholders. 
  • Support the preparation and coordination of materials for the monthly Debit Card Operations BUR (Business Unit Review), and other leadership presentations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Technology and Product teams to gather updates, identify dependencies, and help remove blockers.
  • Facilitate project updates and ensure follow through on action items.
  • Maintain an organized repository of project documentation, timelines and progress updates.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Payment Operations with a foundational understanding of specifically debit card technical and operational workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management practices and tools; formal project management experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional meetings, drive conversations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working within or alongside Technology or Ops teams in a financial services or banking environment.

  • Location options include: Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
