The Discovery and Strategic Partnership team manages research independently, with subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify emerging opportunities in the Medicare clinical space. The Lead conducts targeted evaluations of vendor solutions that address defined business problems.
While working in a highly matrixed environment, the Discovery and Strategic Partnership team leads vendor reviews to identify key partners who are solving clinical problems and engaging in value-based agreements. The Lead uses this data to craft recommendations to senior executives regarding business strategy. This person is self-drive and exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues.
In this role you will:
Lead strategic vendor evaluation for solutions aimed to improve clinical outcomes for the Medicare population
Lead initial screening of companies, defining key requirements and evaluation criteria with business owners, leading evaluation meetings with prospective strategic partners, and analysis needed to make a recommendation
Manage relationships with key internal business partners like Market Operations, Clinical Strategy, Retail Product & Growth, Vendor Management, Value-Based Strategies, and Clinical Analytics
Structure and lead research and analysis on consumer and industry trends; market landscaping for specific clinical priority areas

Role Essentials
Bachelor's Degree
7 or more years in business strategy, finance, clinical discipline, product development, and/or innovation
2 or more years of cross-functional project leadership experience
1 or more years of external partner management
Ability to conduct, interpret, and leverage data and analytics to improve strategy and make recommendations
Microsoft Excel modeling (Basic) & PowerPoint presentation skills
Experience presenting to the executive level individuals
Highly motivated and action-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovation, totally comfortable operating in ambiguous and unregimented environments
Strong critical thinking skills, analytical experience, and business acumen
Strategic thinker who can identify, prioritize, structure, and solve complex business problems, then present synthesized insights that are accessible and actionable to leadership
Translating ambiguity into structured framework and/or processes
Proven track record of launching an idea internally or externally that required synthesis of disparate points of view/ insights/data and creating a cohesive narrative, plan and outcome
Proven success in breaking down complex problems into hypotheses, developing clear plans for validation, and using data to refine concepts
Strong time management that allows for working independently and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in parallel
Role Desirables
Master's Degree in business, clinical discipline, public health or related healthcare field
5 years or more health insurance, healthcare vendor, clinical direct care, finance (PE, VC, IB, M&A, contracting), or consulting experience
Prior experience working directly with consumers/customers, running experiments, in-market testing, understanding what is required to launch products, and contracting
