Job description

Job Title: Business Development Representative (BDR) – Cannabis Technology Platform
Location: Remote (Must be able to work EST hours)

Overview:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by generating new business opportunities for our Account Executives (AEs). Your primary responsibility will be to work from a call list, engage through cold calling, and schedule meetings and demos for our AEs to further explore how our technology platform can meet client needs.

Cold Calling:
Utilize provided scripts to initiate outbound calls to prospective clients in the cannabis industry, with the goal of generating interest and booking meetings for AEs.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through research, outbound calls, and emails.
Appointment Setting: Schedule high-quality meetings for AEs by effectively communicating the value proposition of our platform to potential clients.
CRM Management: Accurately input and manage data within our CRM (HubSpot preferred), ensuring all interactions are logged and follow-up tasks are scheduled.
Tool Familiarity: Use Aircall or other calling platforms to conduct outreach, ensuring seamless communication and activity tracking.
Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively in English, with an accent easily understood by a diverse audience. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Reliability: Maintain consistent access to reliable Wi-Fi and a computer, ensuring uninterrupted work during EST hours.


Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a BDR or similar role within a SaaS or technology environment is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and calling platforms (Aircall or similar).
  • Communication: Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to speak clearly and understandably.
  • Work Environment: Must have a reliable computer and internet connection to perform daily tasks efficiently.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to new tools and processes as needed.
