About the Role:

As an Accounting Assistant at Bits, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will work closely with our finance team to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting tasks.   • Posting vendor invoices accurately and making third party payments on time
  • Assisting in managing employee expenses, payroll and contractor payments
  • Storing and submitting invoices to the accountant
  • Ensuring monthly accruals are booked
  • Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs
  • Validate invoices against items or services received
  • Check all financial transactions for accuracy
  • Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an accounting role or relevant coursework
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
