What you will do

As the Data Centre Account Manager, you will capture increase in market share across the sector in the UKI through identifying key projects, building relationships with specific end users or influencers and main contractors and electrical contractors, and engaging our multi disciplined sales organisation to execute opportunities with a winning mindset.

The role is a sales position within the UKI integrated sales solutions organisation, and to also work across the enterprise to focus on aligning the needs of the Data Centre customers and delivering outcome-based solutions.

Within the UKI, specific go to market initiatives have been identified as high growth / high potential – Data Centres being prioritized as an attractive sector.  The Data centers Go to Market Initiative operates in a team environment with core members & facilitators from across our sales organisation supporting each specific solution or creation of an enterprise approach.

Working within the ISS sales group, you will also look to work with global accounts teams & facilitators from across the enterprise, identify & qualify new Installation & service opportunities in the Data Centers sector.

Once a project is qualified, you will focus on the integrated security requirements as well as working closely within the enterprise team environment to nurture, develop and advance the opportunities with the facilitators to a successful outcome.   

This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills.

You will have to cope with a substantial amount of responsibility, remain calm under sometimes severe pressure, and be able to read and interpret instructions carefully. Time management, efficiency, the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision are all important.

Presentation skills are key to the role, you should also be an articulate, confident speaker. Strong written communication skills are equally essential.

How you will do it

  • Identify projects across the Data centers Sector to qualify

  • Lead early-stage discovery & research around each project

  • Identify key end users & consultants to develop and build effective relationships

  • Identify key Contractors within the Data Centres Sector to develop mutual relationships

  • Understand stakeholder needs and develop outcome-based solutions

  • Leverage facilitators in the ‘Growth Room’ to build effective teams

  • Utilise Salesforce CRM to manage all activity

What we look for

  • Data centers Sector experience

  • Experience as a senior sales account manager

  • Understand building solutions / digital services within the sector

  • Demonstrated key relationships within sectors

  • Ability to plan, execute and work with teams

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM desirable

  • Sound commercial acumen

  • Excellent Writing & Communication Skills

  • To achieve sales deadlines & sales targets

  • A strong holistic and collaborative vision for success

  • Achieve quarterly/annual sales targets and within the minimum margin levels
