JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Benefits Coordinator provides professional level administrative and analytical duties in evaluating and managing health and welfare and/or 401(k) administration. Maintains in-depth knowledge of all pertinent federal and state laws both adopted and pending, and ensures compliance with all Company and plan regulations as well as with all federal and state legal requirements. Serves as the primary point of contact with the Company’s third party benefits administrators. Incumbents in this position must maintain the highest possible degree of confidentiality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  •  Administer various team member benefit programs and plans, such as; 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D and disability, employee assistance program and other ancillary benefits that the Company may offer from time to time. 
  • Serves as a second level escalation point with regards to support for team members or employee relations as needed, including, but not limited to, researching team member questions and issues, advising on policies and procedures, and communicating plan provisions. 
  • Oversees day-to-day administration of the 401(k) plan, ensures compliance with government regulations, and serves as a liaison between record keepers, trustees, actuaries, consultants, and Company’s internal departments while maintaining a thorough knowledge of all current and past provisions of the plan. 
  • Review and contribute content for Company plan documents such as plan SPDs, wrap document, and team member communication materials with regards to health and welfare benefits.  Ensure plan compliance with regards to 401(k) administration by reviewing SPD’s and SMM’s for accuracy with the intended provisions of the plan and making sure all plan provisions are administered properly.  
  • Ensure vendor is managing the Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSO) administration appropriately while serving as a second level escalation point for unique and/or complex inquiries. 
  • Assess, reconcile and manage the weekly export and import of census data regarding benefit and 401(k) plan information and assist with vendor error reports, making corrections as necessary. Facilitate funding of bi-weekly 401(k) contributions and loan processing. 
  • Coordinate the monthly vendor invoice process including audit, tracking, approvals, and mailing checks. Prepare payment requests and maintain cost files for various benefit programs. 
  • Coordinate the annual audit process and provides auditors with all necessary documentation and data requested.

The salary range for this position is $52,900 - $64,000 annually.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
