Brief Description:  


Patients are at the center of the client's business strategies.  The Program Manager is responsible for:  

  • Providing clinical and operational oversight to ensure team goals are met.
  • Ensuring appropriate resources and operational support required to deliver on both patient and client expectations
  • Oversight of the systems development and management
  • Identify opportunities and participate in the development of strategies, training tactics and resources required to optimize value of patients
  • Working cross-functionally with operations, training, Field Operations Management, and District Managers.
  • Provide clinical support to the program through the management of clinical supervisors, indirect RN reports, and acting as SME for clinical program – related questions. 

 

In this role the Nurse Manager will provide clinical and operational oversight to ensure team goals are met. Provides direction and leadership to ensure quality, program execution and contractual requirements are met using a proactive approach to develop solutions. This position provides direction and manages professional employees and is accountable for the performance and results of a team within the framework of the business. Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational changes. Ensure that client projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

 


Specific job duties:

 

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the program by:

  • Managing the collaboration with internal and client training departments to ensure clinical  messaging integrates the defined strategies and is customized to reflect the patient insights associated within supported disease states. Ensure that the clinical training direction aligns with clinical standards and the team is working within their scope of practice
  • Support the logistical deployment and tracking of issued equipment
  • Clinical personnel management & oversight during client hosted training events and travel
  • Supervises and directs training resources to ensure strategic approach is in line with requirements for clinical education
  • This position is also responsible for supervising the execution of a feedback mechanism to assess the value of the program as perceived by the patients on a regular basis, including oversight support. This includes sharing proactive clinical insights and information regarding patient trends and opportunities for optimizing the patient experience
  • Collaborate with the Managers and Directors of to support KPI development, ensure reporting systems are in place and supervise/manage monthly clinical performance updates to the team
  • Provide leadership with updates on policy developments and likely impact on patients and service delivery
  • Develop and implement a robust plan to facilitate clear communication with the client
  • Attend and contribute to weekly program staff meetings, client/internal call calibrations, and all client facing meetings
  • Responsible for developing, tracking, and trending staff performance including mentoring, productivity monitoring and coaching for success. 
  • Corresponds with leadership team on employee/HR issues, departmental issues and any service issues
  • Responds to clinical escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve.
  • Continual identification of clinical operational opportunities to gain efficiencies and improve processes in order to develop best practices.

  

Supervisory Responsibility:  

1-10 Direct Reports, variable Indirect Reports

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant clinical experience to include 3 – 5 years of leadership experience
  • Call center or other telephonic leadership experience preferred
  • Registered Nurse License in good standing in the state in which you work and/or cross-licensed in other states
  • Telephonic nursing roles are required to have a Compact State License in eligible states; additionally, employee must be willing to obtain Compact State license at such time as their  state elects to adopt Compact legislation
  • Telephonic nursing roles are required to have a California State License and the employee must be willing to obtain additional Single State Licenses upon request. 
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, email, and internet
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills including presentations and negotiations
  • Comfort in training professional and non-professional staff
  • Training Management experience preferred
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to examine business environment and develop/execute in response to market opportunities will be a significant benefit
  • Candidate should have a working knowledge of the market including trends and issues as they relate to the patient journey and insights
  • Ability to travel (40-50%)
  • Ability to lead and drive for results in cross-functional teams
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Initiative and vision: develop strategy and deliver results
  • Drive and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and inspire support for initiatives
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with third parties using good negotiation skills
  • Proven success working with or within patient advocacy organization or other patient health-related, communicate focused organizations providing services to targeted populations
  • Veeva /SaleForce.com Database experience preferred
