Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce a comprehensive zero-waste strategy across the manufacturing operations.
  • Set measurable sustainability goals and track progress towards achieving them.
  • Engage and educate employees at all levels about sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement waste reduction initiatives.
  • Report directly to the executive leadership team on progress towards zero-waste objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to waste management and environmental sustainability.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with suppliers and other stakeholders to promote a circular economy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on sustainability practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing zero-waste or similar sustainability programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and environmental regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and driving organizational transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on sound financial and environmental metrics.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including external partners.
