A Brief Overview

Functions under the direction of the Director of Payroll, performs a variety of professional and technical tasks related to payroll and related financial reporting. Responsible for calculating and preparing payroll to general ledger entries. Perform specified tasks associated with time & attendance. Operates with moderate supervision.


 

What you will do

  • Other Payroll Duties
    a. Employee verification letters biweekly
    b. Calculate retroactive pay
    c. Monitor and resolve issues with daily HR/Payroll audit reports
    d. Maintain offsite storage information including coordination of sending off site
    e. Maintain and order supplies
    f. Back up payroll garnishment processor
    g. Assist when other payroll assistants are out or need help
    h. Research request from departments on payroll issues
    i. Perform all other duties as assigned 60%
  • Time and Attendance Tasks
    a. Add new and update labor levels.
    b. Maintain and update all tables associated with time and attendance
    c. Set up new users for Remote Timestamp
    d. Maintain Teletime locations
    e. Monitor error and missed punch reports daily.
    f. Resolve time & attendance errors daily
    g. Assist with testing and implementation of timekeeping upgrades and service paks 30%
  • Assist Payroll Director and Payroll Supervisor with special projects. 10%
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma General Required and(
  • GED General Required or)
  • Minimum 3 years related experience Required
