About the Role:

As the International Retail Account Manager at Skylight, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our footprint in International Retailers, focusing on the UK and Australia.  We are looking for a strategic sales leader who has a deep understanding of the International retail market and has excellent business skills to deliver profitable customer plans and market share growth. This role will report directly to the VP of Sales and manage all aspects of our business in International retail markets.  In addition to channel and operational management responsibilities, this role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales operations, finance, supply/customer service, product management, and marketing.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in international retail sales, market expansion, and relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and develop new international retail opportunities, including distributor and franchise partnerships.
  • Sales Strategy: Create and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets in different global markets.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international retail partners, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to optimize growth strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure successful product launches and retail execution.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional agreements with international retail partners.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all retail operations comply with local regulations, tariffs, and international trade laws.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in international retail sales, business development, or account management.
  • Experience with National Retailers like Curry's, John Lewis (UK), and JB HiFi (AUS) is preferred.
  • Experience working with International Distributor models and managing multi currency programs.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing retail partnerships in multiple countries.
  • Strong understanding of global retail markets, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different cultural and business environments.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

For Colorado-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $65-90K based on experience and for California-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $65-90K based on experience.
