Position Overview

The Director of National Accounts serves as a key driver of Meeder’s strategic growth within the intermediary marketplace, focusing on the development, management, and expansion of critical account relationships. This role is instrumental in ensuring the successful onboarding and placement of Meeder’s investment products and solutions across multiple platforms in the independent broker-dealer (IBD) and registered investment advisor (RIA) channels.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with proven expertise in cultivating strategic partnerships, navigating complex distribution networks, and driving market share growth. This position requires a blend of strategic vision, tactical execution, and collaborative leadership, contributing to the broader success of Meeder Investment Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth:
    • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive new asset growth, strengthen strategic advisor relationships, and retain existing assets.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish measurable goals and metrics aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across IBDs, RIAs, and other platform partners.
    • Act as the primary liaison to ensure alignment between Meeder’s offerings and partner firms’ priorities, with a goal of maximizing the ROI on partnership investments
  • Product Placement and Expansion:
    • Oversee the deployment and positioning of investment products on partner platforms, identifying new placement opportunities.
    • Lead the onboarding process for new solutions and ensure successful integration into existing frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with internal teams, including marketing, research, and sales, to implement strategies that enhance Meeder’s value proposition.
    • Facilitate the development and delivery of targeted training and educational resources for internal sales teams and partner distribution teams.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Manage the execution of contracts, agreements, and compliance requirements in collaboration with operations teams.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of advisor representatives and platform data in CRM systems including use of data and advisor lists to improve net flows

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced financial certification such as CIMA® or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a focus on sales, marketing, or national accounts.
  • A track record driving gross and net sales by strategically using available resources to advance advisor and partner firm relationships
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior role managing key accounts in a similar environment.
  • FINRA Securities Licensing (Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 66) required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%–60%).
