Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager with a strong background in Business Development and operations management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Business Development success, team building, and people management. This role requires a hands-on approach to closing deals and managing the Business Development team to drive business growth. The Senior Sales Manager will lead our Business Development strategies and oversee a team of BDMs in the B2B business segment, playing a pivotal role in achieving our mission to deliver AI and Blockchain knowledge worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Leverage extensive Business Development experience to guide and mentor the Business Development team. Promoted from a Business Development position to Manager, showcasing a deep understanding of Business Development strategies and customer relationship management.
  • Set and monitor Business Development targets, ensuring the team meets and exceeds these goals.
  • Actively participate in high-stakes Business Development deals, from initial customer contact to closing, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Successfully built and led a team of high-performing Business Development managers.
  • Actively engage in the Business Development process by working on deals, negotiating with customers, and closing Business Development to meet and exceed targets.
  • Owning a minimum of $ 3m annual Business Development quota for the team.
  • Process Management:
  • Design, implement, and refine Business Development processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Leverage CRM and other Business Development tools to streamline operations, track performance, and generate actionable insights.
  • Monitor Business Development trends, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy to drive strategic decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to defined Business Development processes which may include mapping client expectations, documentation, handovers to the Operations team and client servicing team etc.
  • Collaborate with Business Development leadership to develop accurate Business Development forecasts and targets.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between Business Development and other departments to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead by example, providing strong leadership and direction to the Business Development team. Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set development goals, and implement personalized coaching plans to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a Plus
  • Strong exposure in APAC market and not limited to Indian Market.
  • 5-7 years of experience in B2B Business Development management, with a solid background in ed-tech or SAAS industries, preferably managed a B2B Business Development team for at least 3-4 years.
  • Proven track record of leading Business Development teams and achieving beyond set targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and Business Development forecasting.
