Your missions

The Director, Client Partnerships for Engineering Technical Services will develop and implement a sales strategy that establishes deep client partnerships and extends the Charles Taylor brand in the North American market.

This hands-on business development role will drive and expand our Engineering Technical Services practice while shaping our enterprise-level sales capabilities. As a critical member of the team, you will establish new relationships, lead, drive, and win sales pursuits with target clients across:

  • Insurance Carriers
  • Independent Adjusting Firms
  • Risk Managers
  • Law Firms
  • Corporate Accounts
  • Corporate Insureds
  • \Developers and Builders
  • Property Managers
  • Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs)


Our Engineering Technical Services Practice provides pre- and post-risk technical services for insurers, litigators, developers, builders, designers, and businesses involved in energy, construction, utilities, transport and other residential and commercial sectors. Solutions Include:

  • Forensic Investigations
  • Product Defect Investigation and Support
  • Building Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Design
  • Expert Witness Testimony
  • Construction Program Management
  • Construction Claims and Disputes
  • Building Envelope Consulting


Responsibilities

  • Establish Charles Taylor Engineering Technical Services as a leading insurance services company
  • Develop, implement, and execute a multi-year sales strategy targeting opportunities across Forensic Insurance Claims Investigation, Design & Engineering (Civil/Structural), Construction Administration, Building Envelope Repair, Forensic Analysis of substantial scale and complexity
  • Build strategic and targeted relationships that drive revenue growth
    • Develop, Implement and Lead specific client action plans
  • Partner with subject matter experts within Charles Taylor Engineering Technical Services and other lines of business
  • Participate in cross selling all Charles Taylor Business lines where appropriate
  • Partner with Finance, Talent, Operations, Marketing, and various Charles Taylor teams to enhance the strategic sales planning process
  • Achieve and maintain revenue growth
  • Lead the development of RFPs and vendor manager outreach/responses
  • Attend targeted client events and find ongoing promotional opportunities for the company
  • Provide market feedback regarding competitive offerings, emerging trends, and acquisition opportunities
  • Establish a foundation of success to build a national sales team

Candidate Profile

The Director, Client Partnerships Charles Taylor Engineering Technical Services should be a hands-on sales leader with a history of sales success within a top-tier Forensic Engineering Firm.

Ideal candidates possess key marketplace relationships within the insurance and litigation industries and a technical understanding of the Engineering and Construction Consulting industry with experience in the Commercial Adjusting space.

Succeeding in this role requires an ability to create, synthesize, and demonstrate the ability to build complex relationships and close new business opportunities.

Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences. Though each of the following items is not a requirement, a compelling combination of the following is a must:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of work experience in sales, business development, focused on the Engineering and Construction Consulting industry
  • Understanding of the commercial insurance and independent adjusting industry
  • Capable of forging relationships and developing influence at all levels of the enterprise
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and respect towards others, as well as accountability and integrity
  • History of exceeding revenue generation $2 to 4 million
  • Success in a startup environment, building teams, brand and process in white space
  • The ability to see long-term market trends and simultaneously tie back to strategy and action plans in the short term
  • An understanding of the challenges facing the industry
