About the role

The credit department at Revolut is anything but ordinary. They design, develop, and launch credit products across the globe. The team manages our products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end, the data science infrastructure, and then creating a local setup in each country with scalable risk management, and portfolio management solutions. It’s a big job, but our people are a credit to us all.

We're looking for a Head of Commercial Real Estate Lending (“CRE Lending”) to drive the launch of the business within Revolut. The role would fit very well with an experienced banker or private debt investor with relevant crossborder experience who has ambition to lead a team and establish the unit from scratch.

What you’ll be doing

  • Setting up the vision for the CRE lending business from scratch.

  • Creating and owning the strategy — where we play, what areas we focus on, how we sell, how we stand out, etc.

  • Attracting, hiring, motivating, and developing a CRE Lending team

  • Establishing all processes, procedures, and governance required to run the business.

  • Establishing reliable and reputable third-party partnerships

  • Ensuring zero tolerance of any compliance issues or breach of regulatory requirements

What you'll need

  • 8+ years of experience in CRE lending either in a bank or a private debt fund

  • Deep knowledge of and relationships in the EU & UK mid sized CRE lending industry

  • Great interpersonal and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders

  • A detail-oriented, analytical mindset

  • The ability to lead a team and build partnerships with other functions

  • To be comfortable with and enjoy taking ownership

  • A passion for building new processes and challenging the status quo
