We’re looking for a Business Compliance Manager to build on our product, regulatory, and scheme expertise on Mortgages within our 1LoD Credit Department. You'll work closely with product teams to ensure we are complying with applicable rules and regulations, whilst keeping up to date with any changes. Be warned, this is a very hands-on role, but we know you can do it 💪

What you’ll be doing

  • Helping to build, launch, and manage Mortgages products 

  • Understanding the rules and regulations as they relate to mortgages and translating them into actionable requirements

  • Informing the business about any new regulatory requirements and supporting their implementation

  • Monitoring and managing roadmaps of upstream regulatory change to ensure the highest level of regulatory compliance

  • Understanding compliance requirements which arise from third-parties and advising on any changes to our policies, procedures, and controls through validation and implementation

  • Working closely with regional Compliance teams to address any differences in policies, procedures, and regional requirements

  • Working closely with product teams to build a product that delivers a great user experience whilst also ensuring we meet scheme requirements and deliver good outcomes for customers/markets

  • Ensuring risk management processes for credit and lending products are robust and occur in a timely manner

  • Liaising with key internal (e.g. Legal, Risk, MLRO, etc.) and external (e.g. Regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.) stakeholders as required

What you'll need

  • Experience in mortgage and credit product life cycle, with a technical understanding of products and financial services

  • Knowledge of interconnecting regulations and requirements

  • To be an expert in all applicable French and European regulations relating to Mortgages, Credit Products, Credit Advertising, etc.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A desire to change traditional banking

  • The capacity to work under pressure and within tight deadlines

  • A track record of outstanding achievement in several different areas

  • A degree in Law
