SAP Functional Consultant (FI/CO) (m/f/x)

The SAP Functional Consultant is responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP systems, and providing expertise in a specific functional area of SAP software. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions by leveraging deep knowledge of SAP modules and best practices.

The SAP Functional Consultant plays a critical role in implementing and optimizing SAP solutions to meet business requirements. With deep expertise in SAP modules, strong analytical skills, and effective communication, this role drives the successful deployment and utilization of SAP systems to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

• Requirement Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and business process reviews to gather and document functional specifications.
• System Configuration:
  • Configure SAP modules based on business requirements, following best practices and standard SAP functionality.
•  Solution Design:
  • Design end-to-end solutions within the SAP landscape, considering integration points, data flows, and dependencies.
  • Develop functional design documents and solution proposals to align with business objectives.
• Testing and Validation:
  • Define test scenarios, scripts, and plans for unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Execute and oversee testing activities, ensuring the quality and accuracy of SAP configurations and developments.
• User Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to end users on SAP functionalities, processes, and system usage.
  • Address user inquiries, issues, and enhancement requests related to SAP systems.
• Change (Request) Management:
  • Manage change requests and assess the impact of changes on existing SAP configurations and processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement change requests in a controlled and efficient manner.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Document SAP configurations, processes, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to knowledge repositories, forums, and communities to foster continuous learning and improvement.
     

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or related field.
• Extensive experience (3+ years) as a SAP Functional Consultant, with expertise in at least one SAP module (e.g., SAP FI/CO, SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP PP).
• Strong understanding of business processes in the relevant functional area and their alignment with SAP solutions.
• Proficiency in SAP configuration, customization, and integration techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• SAP certification(s) in the relevant module(s) is highly desirable.
