The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 

As a Global Key Account Manager (H/F/*) at Transportation and Electronics Business Group, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.  

 

The Global Key Account Manager for Energy Vertical will be responsible for driving sales, 3M product specifications, and building the opportunity pipeline with top targeted energy companies globallyThe Global Key Account Manager will need to collaborate with the area commercial center teams to ensure sales support for key accountsThis role also will need to help consolidate sales and demand forecasts from the area commercial teams for targeted key accounts. 

 

Here, you will make an impact by: 

  • Setting the strategic commercial direction for potentially multiple key accounts 

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. 

  • Developing and executing strategies to meet the specific needs of key accounts, aligning solutions with their business goals.  

  • Addressing any issues or concerns that arise, ensuring prompt resolutions to maintain key account's satisfaction 

  • Setting the “gold standard” for key account management.  

  • Identifying opportunities and spec-in & lock in future sales to drive revenue growth 

  • Key account roadmap and accelerate the NPI/ key programs 

  • Possessing an understanding of key account customer’s entire supply chain, working with Tier suppliers  

 

Your Skills and Expertise    

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: 

  • BAC+5 in Sales Management or equivalent experience 

  • Consolidated experience in sales or key accounts management 

  • Experience in working with government or semi-government agencies 

  • Experience in creating annual account growth plans & working with Salesforce 

  • Experience in either the Oil & Gas Industry or with integrated energy companies 

  • Proficiency in French and English (in speaking and writing) 

 

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills 

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and global teams 

 

Job specifics: 

  • Field based sales role with headquarters in Cergy 

  • Travel expectations may include up to 20% domestic and international 

  • Working pattern: full time
