We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who will provides a service to Eaton customers, to carry out preventative maintenance on our UPS’s manufactured within the Eaton Electrical business and to maintain other existing UPS equipment to fulfil customer requirements in line with Eaton Safety requirements. You will focus on hyperscale data centers in the region.

What you’ll do:
  • Fault diagnoses on UPS systems.
  • Ability to understand on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
  • You will carry out preventative maintenance on existing install base.
  • Carry out commissioning and repair on all types of UPS systems including stand alone and parallel configurations.
  • You will setup and configure remote monitoring software.
  • You will communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
  • Applies anti-static policies and procedures.
  • Applies ECN process to all repairs.
Qualifications:
  • Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Skills:
  • Possessing three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge
  • A good understanding of UPS systems.  
  • Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as: Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE , TCP/IP
  • Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA or process control
