Summary of Job Duties:

Qualifications:

• PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.

• At least 1–2 years of laboratory research experience in molecular biology, microbiology (bacterial or viral), cancer research (oncogenesis, drug resistance, drug discovery), or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience with cell culture, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, microscopy, and animal handling.

• Proficient in molecular techniques including molecular cloning, gene mutation, CRISPR, and lentiviral systems, as well as working with animal models (i.p., i.v., oral, and intracranial injections).

• Strong scientific writing skills with first-author peer-reviewed publications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong scientific writing and presentation skills

• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

• Solid understanding of experimental design and research ethics

• Familiarity with grant preparation, compliance protocols, and regulatory documentation (IRB, IACUC, IBC)

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Design, perform, and troubleshoot complex experiments in molecular biology, microbiology, and cancer research.

• Develop and refine research protocols, analyze data, and publish findings.

• Maintain detailed and organized research records and laboratory documentation.

• Support grant writing, IRB/IACUC/IBC applications, and compliance reporting.

• Provide scientific mentorship and training to students and research staff.

• Other duties as assigned.
