Graphic Designer Description

  

We are seeking a highly versatile and motivated Graphic Designer (Multidisciplinary) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wears multiple creative hats. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role requires someone who is not only an emerging visual storyteller but also a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for branding, compelling messaging, and cross-platform execution. 


The ideal candidate will help bring campaigns to life—from concept through production—across print, digital, video, and live events. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Design & Branding 

  • Collaborated with a team to implement a cohesive South College brand identity across multiple platforms. 
  • Design assets for both digital and print media including brochures, signage, banners, packaging, and branded merchandise. 
  • Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines and messaging objectives. 
  • Collaborate on marketing campaign concepts and develop visual directions to support overarching strategies. 
  • Brainstorm and create compelling campaign taglines, supporting messaging, and thematic visuals. 
  • Assist in developing creative solutions and storyboards for integrated campaigns. 

Print Production & Content Support 

  • Prepare print-ready files with attention to bleed, resolution, and color accuracy. 
  • Oversee the print production process, from local and digital vendor press preparation 
  • Troubleshoot file setup and advise on material choices or printing techniques. 
  • Perform light copy editing and proofreading for headlines, taglines, captions, and print layouts. 
  • Collaborate with team to ensure alignment between visuals and messaging. 
  • Suggest and refine copy that enhances campaign impact or visual storytelling. 

Digital & Social Media 

  • Design and adapt creative assets for social media channels, websites, and digital ad platforms. 
  • Create and edit visuals for email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp, Brevo, or Constant Contact. 
  • Ensure visuals are optimized for platform specifications, performance, and accessibility. 
  • Create short animations, GIFs, or motion graphics for website landing pages and social media. 
  • Enhance videos with motion text, transitions, and branded effects using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere or equivalent. 

Photo & Video Production 

  • Capture and edit professional-quality photo and video content. 
  • Manage on-set production tasks including lighting setup, shooting, and sound on request. 
  • Produce engaging short-form videos and animated assets for digital use. 
  • Assist in visual planning and execution of internal and external events, including signage, presentations, setup and media documentation. 
  • Provide onsite photography/videography coverage and technical support when needed. 
Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years of graphic design experience in a creative or marketing role. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects). 
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, color theory, and branding. 
  • Experience in photography, videography, and lighting setup preferred but not required. 
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and digital advertising platforms. 
  • Ability to write or edit marketing copy with creativity and clarity preferred but not required. 
  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines. 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. 
  • Event or production experience is a plus.

  • Organized and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong visual and verbal communication skills.

  • This position requires business professional attire and is an in-person position and requesting a fully remote role will not be considered.
