Job Description

The Graphic Designer creates visual concepts and designs digital and print promotional advertising/marketing pieces such as brochures, emails, mailers, websites, digital ad campaigns, core selling tools, and video graphics from concept to completion through close work with internal team members. The Graphic Designer is highly motivated, with a thorough knowledge of Mac operating system and professional design applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, and PowerPoint). This person demonstrates a strong sense of design coupled with technical ability. The Graphic Designer is a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment while assuming accountability for accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the finished assignment.

Job Duties

  • Creates visual concepts, designs, and formats various print and digital materials
  • Create comps or mockups for client presentation and review
  • Incorporate internal team reviewers’ and client changes to layouts
  • Manage creative execution of individual projects from initiation through to completion
  • Maintain quality control and adherence to agency processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with individual team members and groups from various departments, including Account Services, Project Management, Editorial Services, and Medical Services
  • Communicate regularly with manager and team regarding workload and status of current projects
  • Assist in trafficking workflow between Creative Services and Project Management
  • Assist in preparing and manage materials for print production with external vendors

  • Expert knowledge of Mac operating system and design software (familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is a plus)

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in design or related field, or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree (fine arts discipline) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of studio experience, preferably in medical communications or related field

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience specifically working as a graphic designer
  • Familiarity with agency workflow process
  • Healthcare advertising agency background a plus

Working Conditions

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations (virtual)
  • Ability to commit to extra and/or nontraditional hours as client needs require
