Job description

We are seeking a Human Resource Director to join our team. The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and the implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment while managing recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategic needs.

  • Conduct research and analyze HR trends using HRIS or talent management systems.

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies in alignment with organizational growth and workforce planning.

  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Apply this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resource changes to upper management.

HR Program Administration
  • Administer or oversee human resource programs, including:
-Compensation and total rewards
-Benefits and leave administration
-Disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations
-Performance and talent management
-Productivity, recognition, and morale
-Occupational health and safety
-Immigration compliance
-Training and development
Compliance and Legal Oversight
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance and reflect HR best practices.

Organizational Culture & Engagement
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention.

  • Support initiatives that enhance organizational morale and employee engagement.
Required Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.
Experience:
  • At least five years of human resource management experience is required.
Skills:
  • Extensive professional written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to function as part of a collaborative team.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and motivated to manage own work.
  • Proficient in managing various HR functions across teams.
