Your key responsibilities include:
Leading strategic digital projects end-to-end, from roadmap definition to successful implementation and transition to operational ownership
Driving alignment between business needs and technical delivery, translating strategic goals into clearly defined digital solutions
Owning the project roadmap, including milestones, resource planning, budget, dependencies, and governance activities
Acting as a bridge between development, implementation, and business teams, ensuring smooth handover between project phases
Identifying and managing project dependencies and risks, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring project continuity
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies, aligning interests and priorities to deliver shared outcomes
Reporting on project performance, including budget tracking, scope changes, critical path insights, and risk escalations
Facilitating Steering Committees, preparing clear and actionable decision frameworks in collaboration with Business Sponsors
Ensuring proper change management and stakeholder communication to drive adoption and clarity across the organisation
Managing third-party suppliers and vendors, including contracts, Statements of Work (SoW), and delivery timelines
Contributing to the standardisation of tools, templates, and best practices within the Digital function and across Hempel
Ensuring compliance with Hempel’s governance framework, including project methodology (PRINCE2), data policies, and other internal standards
Your key project tasks will include:
Leading large-scale digital projects with full responsibility for delivering on time, within budget, and aligned with scope
Driving collaboration across global functions, business units, and vendors, maintaining project momentum and shared ownership
Acting as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master, applying both PRINCE2 and Agile/Scrum methodologies to structure delivery
Supporting prioritisation and resource planning in a matrixed, international environment
Managing performance reporting and Steering Committee engagements, ensuring leadership has transparency into status and issues
Owning supplier and vendor relationships, including budget negotiation, performance oversight, and coordination with legal and procurement
Promoting cross-project integration, ensuring interdependencies are identified and managed in a cohesive program context
Fostering high-performing teams, encouraging continuous learning and collaboration across team members
Acting as the central point of contact for all project communications, both internally and externally
Driving impactful change management, ensuring that digital transformations are adopted and embedded in business operations
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a confident and strategic thinker with a strong track record in delivering digital projects that make a difference. You should be experienced in navigating complex, global organisations and have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
We imagine that you bring:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (IT, Engineering, Business, Digital, etc.)
5+ years of experience leading large-scale digital or transformation projects, preferably in a global, matrixed organisation
Experience in ecommerce projects based on Sitecore/Order Cloud platform, or other complex e-Commerce project experience, is a strong advantage
Deep knowledge of digital platforms, IT architecture, and integration best practices
Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile/Scrum
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar digital project tools
Proven ability to manage external vendors and suppliers, including contract and budget management
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership
A structured, proactive mindset with the ability to drive multiple workstreams in parallel
Experience managing cross-cultural teams and projects across time zones
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
