Job description

Sony Biotechnology Europe has an opportunity for a Sales Account Manager, Nordics who will have primary responsibility for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation and Reagent sales, instrument prospecting and account management in the Nordics territory. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager, Europe. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in practical flow cytometry and cell sorting, have prior experience selling large capital equipment in the biotech industry, and be able to travel 75% of the time. Although this is a remote position with significant travel, the ideal candidate will reside in either Copenhagen – Denmark, Oslo – Norway, Stockholm or Lund – Sweden, or Finland.

A recent new product introduction will see further expansion of the instrument range into Advanced Cell Therapy.

You will:

  • Achieve forecasted sales goals for territory while preserving acceptable gross profit levels

  • Plan and execute sales, funnel building activities that ensure sales satisfaction

  • Provide forecasts, reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other Company personnel as required

  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory according to an agreed market development strategy

  • Develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and maintain sales activities in Salesforce (CRM)

  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, and telemarketing

  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information

You will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in practical flow cytometry and cell sorting

  • Prior experience selling large capital equipment in the biotech industry

  • Prior experience working in the industry with a customer network in Nordics (co-facilities, universities, etc.) is preferred
