Opportunity Overview:

As Product Marketing Manager, you will support the VP of Marketing Operations in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote new and existing products and product lifecycle changes, including market research, creating product positioning and messaging, executing go-to-market strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing customer needs to drive product adoption and sales growth; essentially acting as the bridge between teams to ensure successful management of complex operational projects and product lifecycle management.

A Day in the Life of the Product Marketing Manager:

  • Project Management: Develop and maintain project deliverables, timelines, and schedules; track and execute pre and post operational project plans, end-to-end.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local operations, IT, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, training, call center and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth management of complex projects, product launches and other operational initiatives.
  • Research/Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer needs, competitor landscape, and market trends to inform product positioning and marketing strategies. Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate the product.
  • Go-to-Market: Execute comprehensive go-to-market plans including launch strategies, pricing, distribution channels, and promotional campaigns.
  • Training/Sales Enablement: Develop training curriculum, FAQs, sales tools and materials to educate the technical and sales team on goals and objectives, features and benefits, facilitating effective understanding and selling.
  • Positioning/Messaging: Develop compelling product messaging and value proposition to clearly articulate the benefits of the product to target customers.
  • Content: Create marketing content such as product descriptions, website copy, case studies, and presentations to support marketing initiatives across various channels (website, digital, social, other).
  • Performance tracking and analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table: 

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience leading Product Marketing and Project Management.
  • Telecommunications experience
  • Experience with implementing and executing marketing operational projects, campaigns, budgets, and agency relationships.
  • Experience synthesizing information and critical details for leadership, and driving implementation of decisions and department ops direction.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong copy-writing, organization and documentation abilities in product marketing space; must possess the ability to work across multiple projects concurrently and maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Proven success leading and partnering with cross-functional teams in a Marketing Operations capacity.
  • Proactive team player with a positive attitude who adapts well to changing needs and priorities, ambiguity, experimentation and iteration, and are able to pivot easily to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Proficient in the utilization of all the Google and Microsoft Office Suite programs, including, but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge and understanding of internet, video and mobile projects and services.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree required

Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $90,000- $120,000 annually, plus opportunities for benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, location and capabilities.
