Elastic is a remote engineering and solar installation company that employs US and Mexican solar workers, on a mission to build a more sustainable North America and advance social mobility. We are solving the 5 M labor shortage in the US, starting with blue collar jobs in the solar industry, by enabling the immigration of 500,000 Mexican solar workers to solve the US solar labor crisis of +1.5m workers in the next 10 years.
We are looking for a growth-minded Sales Development Representative who will help us scale our US sales and ensure strong customer engagement. Our ideal candidate will take ownership of their pipeline and is excited by the opportunity that ambiguity creates. As a startup, it is imperative that our team be adaptable as we continuously improve our product and processes.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with CEO Joel Garcia-Galan and VP of Operations Brian Cook in building and converting our sales pipeline.
Own the sales cycle from lead identification and meeting scheduling to negotiation and deal close
Identify new prospects through outbound sales motions including: cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings
Manage a growing pipeline of opportunities across diverse regions in the US
Maintain quality data and dependable forecasts
Drill down to understand the customer’s pain points and how we may solve them
Establish credibility through a consultative sales method and build relationships across the solar industry
Attend conferences and trade shows
1.5+ years of relevant B2B sales experience
Comfortable selling internationally with an interest in understanding a diverse target audience
Collaborative spirit both within the sales team and across to our friends in engineering
Experience or interest in renewable energy
Excellent communication skills, oral and written (English)
Experience with CRM (we use Zoho) and sales analytics
