Job Description

Job Purpose

The Product Owner – Finance is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of digital financial solutions that support core finance operations across the organization. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring that financial products meet evolving business needs. Prior experience in Indirect Procurement and Payroll domains is considered highly beneficial for success in this role.
 

Responsibilities

  • Financial Product Ownership: Define and own the roadmap for digital finance solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities, compliance standards, and operational efficiency goals.

  • Business Requirements Management: Collaborate with finance, HR, and procurement teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements, particularly in areas related to indirect procurement and payroll.

  • Backlog Ownership: Maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog, define user stories, and ensure timely delivery of features by coordinating with development teams.

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve or automate financial processes, driving digital transformation within finance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication across all phases of product development.

  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure that financial solutions comply with local and international regulatory standards and support internal and external audit processes.

  • Post-Go-Live Support: Monitor solution performance, collect feedback, and drive continuous product improvement in partnership with end users and technical teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role, with a strong focus on financial products or features.

  • Solid understanding of financial operations and compliance frameworks

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and legal departments

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Preferred Experience (Highly Beneficial):

  • Hands-on experience with indirect procurement processes (e.g., vendor onboarding, purchase requisitions, invoice approvals)

  • Exposure to payroll operations, payroll accounting, or integration with HR/payroll systems

  • Experience working with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP)

  • Russian language proficiency (spoken and written)

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA)
