Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT

Accountabilities:


•    Prepare and submit VAT returns for VAT registrations in EMEA
•    Ensure Monthly/Quarterly VAT returns reconcile to the General Ledger for Europe entities
•    Produce and submit EC Sales Lists / Intrastat / Country specific reports on a periodic basis for Europe 
•    VAT End-to-End process coordination (quality review, report submission, payment, reconciliation)
•    Regular review and revision of procedures, where necessary
•    Participate in migration of VAT Process from EU/non-EU countries
•    Cooperate and deal with a variety of questions including cross Border Transactions, Chain transactions
•    Provision of VAT Trainings in GBS to other accountancy teams on all questions related to VAT compliance
•    Ensure of updated VAT knowledge which impact reporting and T&L business
•    Participate in departmental and cross-departmental projects and initiatives
•    Coordinate and Assistance in the preparation of internal & external audit requests and respond to queries
•    Perform the selected monthly closing activities in line with corporate deadlines
•    Assist with other day to day VAT compliance tasks 


Skills and Experience:


•    VAT compliance knowledge
•    SAP, other ERP systems
•    Advanced Excel
•    2-3 years VAT accounting and Tax reporting experience
•    University degree in Finance/Accounting
•    Understanding of country & European VAT legislation
