About the position

As a Financial Analyst III – VBC, you’ll play a key role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this position you will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of value-based care initiatives by transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights. This role requires strong SQL and Power BI expertise to develop dashboards, conduct performance analytics, and support provider engagement strategies. The analyst will work cross-functionally with clinical, finance, medical economics and network teams to drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, and outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise data warehouses (EDW) and other sources.
  • Design and publish interactive Power BI dashboards that clearly communicate provider performance, highlight opportunities for improvement, and showcase the impact of value-based initiatives on clinical and financial outcomes
  • Analyze trends in cost, utilization, and outcomes to quantify the effectiveness of value-based programs, identify actionable insights for provider groups, and support continuous improvement in care delivery and member health.
  • Partner with market strategy, clinical, finance, and medical economics teams to deliver insights that influence negotiations and drive performance improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms and analytic outputs.
  • Contribute to cross-functional workgroups focused on improving member outcomes through value-based program
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to provider group executives and internal senior leadership.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 4+ years of financial or data analysis experience. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Pay Range: $68,700.00 - $123,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
