Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Seasonal Sales Representative to join our team and focus on selling individual under-65 health insurance policies, both on and off the exchange. In addition to medical insurance, you will also be responsible for selling ancillary product packages. As a Seasonal Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in acquiring new clients, expanding our customer base, and ensuring their healthcare needs are met. Your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our comprehensive health insurance plans and ancillary products to individuals under the age of 65, while providing exceptional customer service.

What you’ll do:

  • Call & Lead handling: Simultaneously handle inbound calls and outbound follow-up for prospective individual & family leads. Attention to call handling based on lead channel will be key to upholding lead priority, partnership expectations, and client experience.

  • Lead nurture/Pipeline Management: Build a pipeline of potential clients and conduct multi-touch follow-up with the goal of progressing leads through to sale.

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve individual and team targets for selling individual under 65 health insurance policies, both on and off the exchange.

  • Consultative Selling: Conduct a thorough needs assessment to understand the unique needs and pain points of prospective clients and articulate how our products/services can address those needs effectively.

  • Performance metrics: Meet or exceed monthly targets set for sales of individual & family medical and ancillary products.

  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of both Federal and State-based marketplace exchanges, as well as off-exchange products, our health insurance products, coverage options, underwriting guidelines, as well as ancillary product packages.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing them with personalized recommendations and solutions based on their specific needs, including both medical and ancillary product packages.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriters and customer service, to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for clients.

  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions. 

Who you are:

  • You have proven Sales Experience: Minimum 1 year sales experience, preferably within a related industry, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • You currently possess an active Health & Life Insurance license

  • You have solid understanding of individual under-65 health insurance policies, including on and off-exchange policies, as well as ancillary product packages.

  • You are self-motivated and target-driven with a passion for sales and customer service.

  • You have a high level of integrity and ethical conduct in dealing with sensitive customer information.

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes a monthly commission-based incentive plan, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
