Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $55,000.00 - $82,400.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $26,000.00.

Job Summary: Inside Dealer Success Consultant (LX)

The Inside Dealer Success Consultant LX is responsible for partnering with dealers to drive growth, retention, and performance across their Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book portfolios. This role requires a consultative mindset, strategic marketing expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional Cox Automotive solutions.

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor—building strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping dealers maximize ROI through data-driven insights and marketplace engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceed sales revenue and retention targets through strategic account management.
  • Manage your sales pipeline and revenue forecasting with precision.
  • Leverage sales enablement tools, systems, and analytics to drive performance.
  • Monitor and analyze account trends to proactively adjust dealer goals and expectations.
  • Lead monthly virtual business reviews with active dealers in your book of business.
  • Evaluate client ROI and align strategies with media buying cycles, marketing goals, and target demographics.
  • Plan and execute strategies to generate incremental business and fulfill service action plans.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce churn.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to deliver actionable insights to dealers.
  • Advocate for dealers during onboarding and implementation of solutions.
  • Route and resolve customer issues through appropriate internal channels.
  • Communicate account updates to management, Business Development, and Dealer Success teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Ensure timely collection of billed revenue.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 8 years of experience in a related field

  • Proven experience consulting and managing relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of media buying, marketing, and audience targeting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Customer-first mindset with a drive to exceed expectations
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced communication and virtual consulting skills
  • Proven experience consulting and managing relationships with automotive dealers
  • Track record of success in automotive industry consulting
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing and online platforms
  • High proficiency with CRMs, analytics platforms, and competitive marketing tools, including AI
