Accounting Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a clear path to becoming our next Vice President of Finance. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS as appropriate. Responsible for accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop an international accounting team to improve overall department performance.
• Develop financial reports to assist in business decision making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits, reviews, and compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in public audit.
• Experience working with remote or international teams
• 7+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience including supervision of accounting staff members
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI reporting (preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred)
