Job Purpose

Our ideal candidate is a detailed and data-driven marketer who excels at planning and managing concurrent campaigns of various scopes and scales. We need a creative and team-spirited manager who enjoys budgeting, sales reporting, and developing super detailed timelines and ticketing calendars just as much as they love being part of the creative process for new theatrical experiences. We value curious, creative problem solvers, and we love a good sense of humor, too. 

This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Sales and primarily supports touring productions including Broadway, Cabaret and Presented productions; Audience Development initiatives; special projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates, manages and executes marketing campaigns for a variety of shows, events and projects, with a focus on touring programming and institutional efforts; collaborates with touring representatives obtaining required approvals as needed
  • Serves as a bridge between cross-functional departments, including marketing, artistic production, box office, front of house, IT, development, education, and accounting
  • Attends required meetings, first rehearsals and dress rehearsals on behalf of the marketing team
  • Drafts, proofreads and copy-edits marketing communications with a customer-first perspective
  • Manages and reconciles, in a fiscally responsible manner, all related show marketing expense; requests applicable purchase orders and follows invoice approval process; submit final advertising settlement 
  • With Director of Marketing, responsible for driving sales of assigned shows, events and projects 
  • Executes basic sales and expense analysis, and tracks effectiveness of campaign elements
  • Develops project timelines and liaises with Marketing Coordinator and Traffic Coordinator to ensure all projects deliver on time and on budget
  • Leverages and actively utilizes project management software (Wrike) to submit, route and approve design and digital requests.
  • Facilitates creative brainstorming across internal stakeholders
  • Develops channel and advertising allocations, in-market timelines, and messaging strategies for all campaigns; collaborates with touring representatives as required.
  • Develops email planning for assigned shows and collaborates with the digital team on effective strategy
  • Negotiates and places media buys for all assigned show marketing campaigns including print, digital, broadcast and OOH 
  • Collaborates on all ticketing on-sales, pre-sales, and special offers, coordinating cross-departmentally to ensure sales begin smoothly and on time.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop and execute promotions, audience development and community outreach campaigns with the goal of identifying, attracting and welcoming new audiences that reflect the diversity of the Denver Metro community.
  • Remains flexible and responsive to additional requests and assignments 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, and/or theater administration. Arts marketing experience preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Arts Administration, Management, Operations or equivalent related experience
  • Excited and inspired by the thought of working to support and promote theatre
  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative problem solver with a love of data and a keen eye for detail
  • Self-starter with integrity and a high degree of personal responsibility 
  • Works well as a part of a team and individually

  • This position requires working occasional evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams. Experience with ticketing (Tessitura) and project management software (Wrike) systems a plus.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a hybrid office environment in which select days may be remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position requires working occasional nights and weekends.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift and move heavy boxes.

$62,000 - $67,000 Annually
