The Benefits Specialist is a key member of the Compensation & Benefits team within Human Resources, responsible for administering and supporting employee benefits programs at a national level. This role collaborates with vendors and internal teams to ensure a seamless and effective benefits experience, while maintaining alignment with internal policies and best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administer and support national employee benefits programs according to established procedures.
· vendors and insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
· Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained both internally and with external vendors.
· Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefits records.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for HR (employee related inquiries) and issue resolution regarding benefits.
· Support the development and continuous improvement of Benefits procedures, policies, and documentation.
· Participate in benefits-related reporting, projects and comercial tender processes as required.
· Update and maintain policies and forms to streamline benefits processes and plan administration.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish).
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years work-related experience in Benefits Administration, Human Resources or related field.
· Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
· Or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
