The Veterinary Technician Recruiter (Vet Tech Recruiter) will lead the nurse recruiting life cycle for a region of AmeriVet. This includes a focus on nurses in the following recruiting functions: recruitment and sourcing, resume review/phone screens, coordinating with the Practice Manager candidate visits, tracking/organizing data, and negotiating employment agreements. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Partner with Recruiting in hiring nurses for our practices based on replacement and growth due to adding DVM’s at the practice 

Establish relationships with nursing students and Veterinary Technicians (non licensed, RVT’s, CVT’s)  through various sourcing strategies 

Organize sourcing strategies with nursing schools and other industry platforms 

Review applications and interview applicants to place within our network of practices nationwide 

Utilize social medial and other networking platforms to build candidate pipeline 

Ensure company staffing needs are filled in a timely manner, and that the company maintains a robust pipeline of qualified candidates 

Schedule interviews with practice managers 

Post all job ads 

Coordinate with Practice Managers and Operations director in negotiating employment agreements 

Maintain a pipeline of candidates and manage them through existing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) 

Performs other duties as assigned 

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 

At minimum 2-3 years of prior high level Veterinary recruiting experience preferred or experience in the Veterinary industry 

Advanced Microsoft Office skills 

Prior ATS and data analytics experience 

Must be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment 

Strong negotiation skills 

Excellent presentation, communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills 

Effective judgment, confidentiality, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations 

Occasional travel if needed
