Job Title: EHS Sr. Specialist

Contract: Regular

Location: Seoul

Key Responsibilities:

1. Occupational Health & Work Environment Management

  • Serve as the designated site Occupational Health Manager in accordance with legal and internal requirements.
  • Operate and manage employee health examination programs (pre-placement, periodic, special, return-to-work, etc.), including counselling and health management for workers with diagnosed conditions or disabilities.
  • Conduct workplace exposure assessments and manage industrial hygiene monitoring programs (e.g., chemical exposure, noise, ergonomics).
  • Establish and implement risk assessment procedures, and lead workplace improvements based on assessment results.
  • Investigate, analyze, and manage occupational diseases or workplace injuries, and develop preventive measures.
  • Maintain and analyze workplace injury and illness statistics and prepare reports as required.
  • Manage MSDS creation and revision, ensure proper documentation, and respond to customer requests or audits.

2. Employee Wellness & Health Promotion

  • Design and lead corporate wellness programs
  • Implement mental health and stress management initiatives, including MindCafe program and cerebrovascular disease risk assessment.
  • Plan and conduct health education programs, such as personal health management, CPR and AED training.
  • Provide employee health consultations and health status monitoring focused on prevention and education.
  • Oversee the on-site health clinic, including inventory management of medical supplies, selection of certified products, and first-aid readiness.

3. Emergency Response & Case Management

  • Deliver first-aid and emergency medical care in case of workplace incidents, and coordinate with external medical facilities when needed.
  • Manage medical case follow-up for injured or ill employees, including return-to-work evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain infectious disease response protocols in accordance with national guidelines.

4. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with Korean occupational health regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain documentation of health services, EHS activities, and required records for audits and internal tracking.
  • Track and report key health and safety KPIs, and contribute to global EHS quality assurance initiatives.
  • Respond to Occupational Safety & Health Committee and labor-management council decisions regarding health-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • MUST: Industrial hygiene engineer certification or Nurse certification who are eligible to be designated as a Health officer under the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Act.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are qualified to be appointed as a Safety Manager.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in occupational health or corporate health services.
  • Strong knowledge of Korean occupational health laws and regulations.
  • Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and capable of working cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Additional certifications in EHS-related areas (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineer, Industrial Hygienist, Chemical Safety, Environmental Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic, or cross-cultural environments.
  • Experience managing third-party health programs or internal wellness initiatives.
